Best Beach in South Carolina

Without a doubt, in order to experience the beauty of nature and return to nostalgia, the best beach is Folly Beach. It doesn’t matter the season or weather, you can always relax at Folly Beach. From it’s beautiful coast to its natural wildlife, Folly Beach in South Carolina has what it takes to let you unwind from the long days of work.

The Beach

If you love surfing, you can go to an area called “the washout” which has some of the best waves in America. Folly Beach takes every effort in trying to reduce the light pollution at night near the beach. It hurts the sea turtles that lay their eggs during breeding season and it takes away from the natural beauty of the moonlight. Flashing lights and reflective signs near the beach coast are minimized and sometimes extinguished. The beach is not only beautiful in the day but also at night. There is also an amazing pier that extends many feet out into the Atlantic Ocean. Stand where the waves crash into the beach and you can get hypnotized by the sound. Go further out and you can go fish or catch the sea breeze. Don’t forget to bring a sweater; it does get cold out there.

The Food

The love of seafood can draw people into Folly beach. Try the famous Lost Dog Cafe. Their breakfast menu with their tasty muffins and coffee is worth getting up in the morning. And while you are up, go see the sunrise at the Folly Beach Pier. Bring a camera because these pictures are keepsakes.

The People

These are real people who live here. Real down to earth people and willing to give you advice on how to enjoy the beach and nature. Lots of people bring their families during the weekends but the beach is big enough where it doesn’t get crowded. Everyone has their space.

So if you want to plan a beach vacation, live like a local, breathe in the fresh ocean breeze air, experience the best seafood and have serenity, take a trip to Folly Beach.
